Certainly, young talent does need passion, but they also require proper guidance, training, and opportunities in order to turn their own potential into actual progress. This idea became clear when the agriculturist and social activist Harisharan Devgan visited the RKB cricket academy in Delhi on 11 September 2026.
The visit, organized by the OP Bhatt Memorial Sports Foundation and RKB Cricket Academy, brought Harisharan Devgan together with young cricketers and coaches under the guidance of chief coach Mr. Ravikant Bhatt. Having interacted with some of the young players earlier, he encouraged them to stay committed to their passion for cricket and keep working hard toward their goals.
The visit also reflected a broader aim to cultivate sporting talent by opening a sports academy soon. Harisharan Devgan said he would like to see similar opportunities created for young cricketers in Jharkhand, so they receive proper coaching, take part in structured training, and are in an environment where their talent can develop.
For many young athletes, talent is only the beginning. Access to experienced coaches, consistent practice and suitable facilities can play an important role in helping them develop their abilities. Creating such opportunities closer to home can also give aspiring players greater encouragement to pursue sport seriously.
Harisharan Devgan’s involvement with the young cricketers was therefore not limited to a single sporting event, since he emphasized the importance of spotting young talent and of creating opportunities so that children from all backgrounds may explore and develop their potential.
With support from Niche Agriculture & Pharmaceuticals Limited (NAPL) and others, the initiative reflects a broader focus on encouraging opportunities for the younger generations, wherever their talent comes from.
