New Delhi | August 26, 2026
A press conference was held today at Narsingh Seva Sadan at 11:30 AM, where Harisharan
Devgan and Advocate Satyam Singh Rajput addressed members of the media regarding the latest developments concerning the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examination controversy and the Public Interest Litigation filed before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

A key update was shared during the press conference regarding the latest developments in the PIL
filed before the Hon’ble Supreme Court through Advocate Satyam Singh Rajput, including the notice issued to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the proceedings before the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

The matter is being pursued through the constitutional and legal process, with the objective of ensuring that the concerns and allegations raised by the affected students receive an independent and fair examination.

During the press conference, Harisharan Devgan announced the launch of #JharkhandStudentUnity, a new initiative aimed at bringing together students from across Jharkhand and creating a unified platform to collectively raise concerns relating to the JPSC and JSSC-CGL matters.

The initiative seeks to strengthen the collective voice of students and encourage them to remain united in their pursuit of transparency, accountability and fairness in the recruitment process.

A significant announcement was also made regarding students against whom FIRs or criminal cases have allegedly been registered during or in connection with their participation in peaceful protests.

Harisharan Devgan appealed to all such students to submit the complete details and relevant
documents related to their FIRs and cases through his official website:
www.harisharandevgan.com

The cases and documents received from affected students will be legally examined, following which appropriate legal remedies will be explored. The issue of FIRs and cases allegedly registered against students for participating in peaceful protests will also be raised before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, with a view to seeking appropriate relief in accordance with law.
